Sharing Market Highlights & Gratitude

What a beautiful day at the bustling Turning Earth Hoxton market! Surrounded by fellow ceramicists, I loved seeing everyone's passion for handmade pieces. People chatted, admired unique works, and found special gifts for loved ones and friends (or treated themselves!).

Thrilled with the response to my new vases in the earthy landscape collection! The subtlety of warm layered glazes, contrasting textures, and gentle feminine forms seemed to resonate with those seeking a touch of calm in their homes. More of this to come.

My botanical dinnerware (featuring ferns and gingko) was also a hit! These pieces will soon be available to order which you will soon be available as made to order.

Got to share my passion for raku and its unique finishes! Learn more on my blog.

Feeling so grateful for the Turning Earth organizers, the supportive ceramic community, and especially the wonderful people who took the time to chat about my work. Your feedback fuels my creativity! Keep it coming.

Inspired by the market energy, I'm already sketching out new vase sizes and planning my new raku collection. Can't wait to share what comes next!

Didn't make it to the market or still want to explore more?

To start the new year 2024, I'm thrilled to dive into the fiery world of Raku pottery with my new blog series! Raku is a celebration of spontaneity and unpredictability – a dance between fire, earth, and artistry that results in unique, individual pieces.

I'll be unveiling short stories of three distinct Raku techniques, featuring pieces I've created:

  1. The First in the series spotlights Raku Saggar: From Flames to Form: Unearthing the Magic of Foil Saggar Fired Raku Pottery (Published Feb 2024)

  2. Experience the traditional, timeless elegance of Crackle Glazed Raku: Crackle-Glazed Raku: Unveiling the Timeless Elegance of Raku Ceramics (Published Mar 2024)

  3. Naked Raku: Stripped of glaze, revealing raw clay beauty... (To Follow)
